Join us on our journey of the canals and rivers of Britain's inland waterways.
One of my favourite moorings at Nantwich -spent some time there 2yrs ago on way to Llangollen. If you are into pubs, try upstairs at The Black Lion in Welsh Row - it's like a 17th century living room - interesting.
Thanks for the tip Ray. We certainly enjoy the occasional meal at the pubs but they have to be prepared to love me love my dog!
Georgeous pics but that's cold! Elly
Hi Elly and Mick - how cold does it get in your part of the world? Last winter we recorded one temperature of -25 just before Christmas!
Sure looks kind of chilly there. Hope you're all tucked up cosy and warm indoors, though no doubt good walking weather by look of things!
Yes Iain, rest assured we're warm and cosy inside RnR! And yes the walking is good in this weather as the towpaths are not so muddy (frozen instead). I think we're off for a long walk this afternoon - with Ann and Molly Moore2Life and Geoff and Megs from Seyella.
Well, yes, cold enough, but this morning at dawn, local temperaure was +2 Fahrenheit, or about -24 Celsius, a little bit lower than normal for here. Had 2" of snow yesterday, which I woukd have ignored save for some one supposedly coming to "view" the property, so I fired up the snow thrower and cleared the drive. Another task I will not miss next winter!
Wow that is certainly cold Mike! Are you planning to move from the area then before next winter?
Thanks for sharing the pics, for 3 trips we have been trying to figure out what the meerkat is!
