Bon Voyage Rock 'n' Roll

Well, today's the day!

 This is the last sighting for me as I take Molly home as she's not well (more later).  George follows them out of the marina to the 3 locks ...

 Kev takes a photo of Ann and George, Ann takes a photo of Kev and George takes this one!

… and there she goes … bon voyage Rock 'n' Roll and good luck and happy cruising to Ann and Kevin….   and yes, we've got a lump in our throats and a tear in our eyes as I post this blog!

  1. Good luck you all! The end of an era for sure. I bet you felt a bit sad watching them cruise away. I know we will be when we have to leave our boat in a couple of months time. Mick just asked me when you had the boat built so I looked back to your first blog post. It was interesting to see who your very first comment was from. Fate perhaps?
    All the best with the new adventure.

    1. Thanks Elly, I had to look back at that first comment and then remembered that it was from Kevin. It was he who pursuaded me to actually put my blog online as initially I disregarded what I'd done when our builder declared he was in financial difficulties. Thanks for pointing that out to me, much appreciated. Good luck to you both in your 'life after Parisien Star'.

    1. Thanks Sue, yes your comment did 'go'! There certainly is lots to do, our days are rather full, today we're off to Tipton for a new fridge as the caravan one has packed up!! But hey-ho that's life!

  3. Time for change, but not too much, I'm sure. Looking forward, now I'm back in the loop, of keeping up with your travels on the latest - still rocking & rolling along.

    1. Thanks Iain, Glad to see you back at home and settling in to that lovely house and that the problems with your daughter’s child access case is just about sorted. Hope you enjoy reading of the our wide-beam build and future adventures. Stay in touch.

  4. Carol, I was trying to leave a comment on your new blog but I can't find a profile which lets me just leave my name. I don't have any of the other options - and I don't want them as I already spend too much time on the computer and have too many passwords to remember!

    So here is the comment I tried to leave;

    "Congratulations! It does look big compared with Rock 'n' Roll. It must be like living in Buckingham Palace!

    It has been fascinating reading the build blog and I'm sure that we are all looking forward to reading your cruising blogs again."

    1. I’m assuming this is Graham of Matilda Rose fame? I’ve copied the above comment Graham onto the Still Rockin’ blog and left a reply.

    Hi Carol, Did you know that Still Rockin was on Chanel 4 News this evening?

    Incidentally, I'm leave the comment here as I seem to need to have a "Profile" for the SR blog & I can't see how just to leave a name as I can here.
