It’s official - Rock ’n’ Roll is sold!

We left Stone on Saturday last week  ...
… passing The Boat Yard with it’s lovely garden and mooring ...
… and this wonderful row of cottages.
We spent a couple of nights near bridge 104 at Barlaston where Molly found another ‘favourite’ seat in the sunshine ...
… and the cows were determined to lower the depth of the canal!...
… and we saw some awesome dawns.
Lock queues were the order of the day on Tuesday when we left Barlaston but it wasn’t a problem as it was mostly one up and one down
 A beanstalk of a sunflower!
Contractors with ropes across the towpath!
It’s a really sharp left-hand bend beyond bridge 116 of the Stoke flight and we were soon moored up at Etruria.

And today … well what can I say? …

We had a call this morning from Kevin and Ann whom we first met during the winter of 2009/10 when we were all stuck in the ice at Gailey.  They used to own nb 4ever More and had regretted selling it. So  when they saw Rock n Roll advertised last week they jumped at the chance to have another look at her and well … they still loved the layout and made us an offer we couldn’t refuse!  So it’s official - Rock n Roll is sold.

And to round off the day ...
A fly-past from The City of Lincoln Lancaster Bomber!

George is very proud to say that during his years in the RAF he worked often on the plane! ...
… and I am so excited about the next chapter in our life!
