Life on the canal at Boothstown

We’ve spent 5 days at this very pleasant, quiet mooring at Boothstown and during that time the weather has mostly been very kind to us.  We’ve collected post from the post office, shared a lovely meal sitting outside in the evening sunshine at The Moorings with Diana and Mike from NB Tamarisk, spent a very convivial hour or so and few glasses of wine with Barbara and Malcolm from NB Pilgrim and George has managed to get some outstanding jobs done on Rock n Roll.
In the meantime we’ve seen more boats passing us than we have in the past 2 months when we left Bugsworth Basin!  These are some of the more unusual ones …

Can’t even remember the last time we had swans come a-visiting!

A caravan boat named Mr Toed!

… not to mention all the numerous narrowboats and cruisers!

We’ve enjoyed it here but are set to move off today - we’re desperate for water!!
