And the wind blew ...

Early(ish) start for us today - 08:30 ...
... we reversed to the water point in the pretty setting that is above Bradford Lock
 ... and opposite Oxford Narrowboat's new base on the K & A
NB Venitia sealed with Police Crime Tape on both doors .. wonder what that story is?
 The visitor's annex?
Approaching The Boatyard for fuel - diesel still 82p per litre
Surprisingly, this is boatyard is not mentioned in Nicholson's Guide - they are extremely efficient here, no nonsense and build boats too on Colecraft shells
With a (mainly) following wind we eventually arrived at our mooring below lock 18 at Seend at 1:30pm. We're waiting for post which hasn't yet arrived so will dine at the Barge Inn tonight and see if the post arrives tomorrow.
We've decided to stay here now until Wednesday when ex-hurricane Katrina blows itself out here in the south and continue on our way up 23 locks which are the Caen Hill Flight - if there's anyone out there who would like to help - feel free - we'd be pleased to see you there!
