Hi-ho, hi-ho, it’s off to work we go ...

… with a shovel and a pick … along the railway track!

Saying cheerio to good friends ...

… but we’ll meet up again before the summer is out (if it ever comes in that is!)
The ‘fruity’ aroma from the Swizzles Factory at New Mills was mouth watering!

3 lift bridges today …

… coming up to Higgins Clough

Wood End next - George is telling me to concentrate on the steering not on the photo - hence it’s a tiny bit blurred!!

and Turflea being the last one.

Hairy horned cows

and frisky horses

Colour is coming ...

… to the towpaths at last.
Arrived at Marple in the rain just in time to grab the last mooring space.
Tomorrow early (well ‘ish) we’ll slip over to the water point, reverse back through the bridge and continue our journey down the Marple Locks.
