Doon the Watter - as holiday makers from Glasgow would say when going to Largs
Here are some pictures of the coast and views of Cumbrae
Looking towards the mainland north of Largs
the view walking towards the ferry slip
an oyster catcher on the beach
where the Firth of Clyde becomes the river Clyde looking north
looking across to Largs on the West Coast of Scotland
a beach of shells and pebbles
and soft red sandstone worn by the sea into miniature mountains ranges
you should have heard the wonderful sound of the waves breaking
more interesting rock formations made by the tide
and the cottage in which we stayed for the two weeks.
