An easy, enjoyable day

Dew on the grass outside the galley window ...
 ...  at 07:45 ...
... and through the galley hatch on the other side of the boat.
 Wow!
We're moving up the river to the Anderton Lift this morning ... Geoff has pulled over to replenish his roof with boaters gold (wood for the fire)
Ann and Chas have tied up on the park and we pull in not far behind.
Out for a walk early today passing the Community Wood Allotment ...
... very interesting - is this what is meant by 'the big society'?
Molly waiting for a stick to be thrown ...
Meg and Molly have fun too down by the water ...
The rather pretty bridge over a short weeded-up arm of the Weaver ...
Hubby George and Ann and Geoff peering over the parepet!
Back to the boats.
Tonight Ann and I are hosting a dinner (on M2L) for Mags and Geoff.  It was Geoff's idea to 'do' the Weaver at the end of our winter cruise together. Seyella had been this way before so Geoff took charge and pole position, booking the lift and lock times for us all and the dinner was to say 'thank you' and 'congratulations' on their 29th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.
We rise in the Anderton Lift in the morning and spend the rest of the day at the top, we shall have a get together tomorrow evening before splitting up the convoy on Tuesday; Seyella will go north and Moore 2 Life and ourselves will go south down to the Shroppie.
