A cracking day ...

The sun rising at 07:50 ...
... a slight mist on the water ...
... and dew on the grass ...
 ... and a real summer sky at 25 past 10 ...
No Geoff, you're supposed to go through the 'ole not around it! ...
... and taking a photo probably something similar ...
... to this one showing the River Weaver and the village of Church Minshull in the distance
The farmer was muck spreading and the gulls stayed in his wake
T-shirt weather - but no shorts yet!
Molly dozing in the hot sunshine in one of her most favourite spots when we're cruising
Moore 2 Life and  Seyella approaching Wimboldsley Bridge ...
... where just after we see a tantalising glimpse of Top Flash at Winsford ...
... and the meandering River Weaver...
... and again through the trees - a lovely spot to moor up

I think this is Lea House Farm just past Cartwright Bridge (23), but it appears to be a lot more than a farm - the building in the picture on the left is shaped like an 'H' and perhaps are now individual residences.

Mags waiting for Stanthorne Lock to be readied for her.
 The moon at 12:32 today
Looking back from Wardle Lock at the end of the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal
George ready to wind up the gate paddles to let the water out of the lock
Wardle Lock Cottage sold at auction just a couple of weeks ago
The old iron bridge is split across the middle to allow the rope attached to the horse drawn boats to slip through without being detached ...
... and George crossing over to close the other gate after I've exited the lock
When the last few yards of the Middlewich Arm belonged to the Trent & Mersey in 1829 it was called the Wardle Canal.  I turn left here onto the Trent & Mersey Canal ...

... and arrived safely at the first of 3 Middlewich Locks after negotiating the huge fleet of hire boats - they could have made it a bit more challenging though - but not by much!
In the second picture Geoff is round the corner opening the top paddles of the middle lock ready for me ...

There they are leaving the bottom lock of the flight ...
... and now it's my turn, that's Middlewich's St Michaels Church and the Anderson Hire Boat Base below
This is the wall inside the lock - hardly any mortar at all between the bricks
BW maintenance buildings up for sale
Murals under the main road bridge ...
... and our mooring space for an hour or so at Middlewich whilst we shop.
The convoy set off again an hour or so later out of town to a quieter mooring for the night ...
... just after Croxton Aqueduct and see this spectacular sunset ...
