... the internet signal that is ... small signal then nothing; try later ... same thing ... but this morning seems ok ... let's see if I can finish this posting!
Waiting for the rest of the convoy to appear at Whitchurch Arm moorings on Wednesday morning 20 past 10 ...
... at last! 20 to 11 and they're about to push off. Ann and I with our two k9s are walking on and doing the lift bridges today ...
This is the one I did! Geoff ...
... Chas ...
... and George.
I needed to stretch my legs today and walked the 3 miles to the next lift bridge ...
Hey ... you're going without me!
Why is that other Molly riding when I've had to walk?
all alone .. except for the cars waiting!
This is it, that's my boat, hi dad!
Lots of long straight stretches on this canal ...
Moore2Life in front of us and Mags at the helm in the lead ...
Stop planks would have been stored in this space of the bridge; they are inserted across the canal in recesses under the bridge 'ole to keep back the water whilst repairs are carried out to the canal structures
Geoff has got off at the bridge and is walking on to prepare the last lift bridge today
The countryside hereabouts changes frequently, sometimes it's drab scrubland and then beautiful green pasture
We slow down as the convoy slips past the bridge ...
... and admire the view in the sunshine ...
... very nice!
Geoff is telling us to moor up before the next bridge on the visitor rings - that it for Wednesday's cruising then; it's 20 to 1 and lunch time on Seyella, home made veggie soup with a cake for afters ... yum, yum!
