Of course this is only a local forecast!
We had planned to move back towards Marple on Thursday last week but needed diesel but fuel boat Alton was not coming our way until Sunday evening so we had turned back to Bugsworth to wait its arrival, not a difficult decision to make as we have loved the basin(s) from the moment we first arrived - all that history and renovation; the walks and the scenery - I could stay here forever!
The tanks are now full but not all our post has arrived so today we will move up to Whaley Bridge once again to top up on water, empty the loo, collect the post (hopefully) and top up the cupboards at Tesco before continuing on to moor once again beyond Carrs Lift Bridge for the night.
Tomorrow we’ll drop down the Marple Flight - we’re heading for the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and the Standedge Tunnel - scary biscuit!
