The sun was warm ... for a while ...

Chas attempted to reverse from our mooring at Ellesmere but decided that winding (turning) at the terminus would be a better idea ...
... we (RnR) have a bow thruster which we are very thankful for ...
... so reached the water point on the main line before they did! That's them in front of us ...
... and now Geoff and Mags have pulled in behind us ...
... and off we go, with Seyella in the lead today.
We could actually feel some warmth from that sunshine ...
... as we cruised through the lovely countryside ...
...There's Moore2Life just round the corner catching us up!
Canal Cottage ... very nice indeed
I've never seen so many bridges on blind bends before ... it must be pandemonium during the summer months!
Ann is taking her usual morning stroll with Molly ...
... and taking in the scenery.
Another blind bend .. but no bridge this time!
St Andrew's Church, Welsh Frankton in the distance ...
... and yes, another blind bend at Pryce Bridge
 Approaching Frankton Junction ...
... and the start of the Montgomery Canal off to our left ...
... down the locks , but that's for another day.
This must be hell when the canal's busy, from this side you need to be on the wrong (left) sided to approach it straight on and of course you can't see what's coming until you (and the other boat) actually meet!
Through that bridge we come to the Navigation Inn ...
... and the very large hire fleet at Maestermyn.
Inexperienced boaters and perhaps those going too fast cause damage to both bridge and boat!
I can't get enough of views like this on days like this one!
Bridge 10W used to carry the railway line
Seyella moored just around the corner ... good because the sun has gone and it's flippin' cold!
We're moored just below New Martin Locks, it's 4:15 and time for a walk...
New Martin Lock Cottage garden will look fantastic in the spring ...
... and mistletoe on several of the trees ...
... looking back from New Martin Bridge ...
... and the other way into Wales.
