We’re currently staying at our son and daughter-in-law’s home and yesterday visited the National Trust property Moseley Old Hall built in 1600 by Henry Pitt for the local Staffordshire Whitgreaves family.
The Hall is famed for it’s connection to the survival and escape of Charles II - helped by 3 young boys who stood ‘look-out’ for Cromwell’s soldiers - one of whom had the name of Palin - could be a distant relative of ours!!

As you can see, it was a lovely day but a bit chilly as we called at the pub for a pint before going home ...
